Replacing the Fourth Estate: We Are the Journalists We Have Been Waiting For
The media was originally to hold politicians feet to fire; now, they are even more corrupt
I, like most of you, am 100% non-violent. This means, ipso facto, that we need get our thoughts our into the marketplace of ideas, where, simply put, good ideas will outweigh the bad - if they are allowed to compete on an even playing field
Of course, they are not, which is why we are losing battles. And here is the key point: If we do not learn to become citizen journalists, we will lose everything. Yes, Tucker Carlson is good; so is Gutfeld, Laura, Ingraham, Gateway Pundit, Mike Adams, Jeffrey Prather, and more. But we must take the battle - just like they did in multi-level marketing - to the one on one level.
Some ideas and hints for you that are waging the good fight agains the fasco-Marxists, from my personal experience.
Perhaps one of top frustrations I have is that, as I seek to remain informed, like you, in these perilous times, far too many send out these hour long vids we are all supposed to watch. Maybe they 20 minutes, maybe an hour and half, but the length is not the issue. And, like you, I might get a dozen or 20 a day! Are people sending these like a classically autistic person, where autism is hallmarked by an inability to connect with others, or put themselves in the shoes of others? Do these senders think people like us are just waiting around for them to send hours worth of videos? Or do they think they are the only ones doing filling up our inbox, where we have been waiting all day for their own special email?
Interestingly, herein lies the opportunity.
Dr. Mercola is perhaps the ONLY one I see that has a "At a Glance" precis at the top of what he sends, which is a massive help, and great example! At a glance, on can then leave with some takeways, or else decide if it is worth your time to read the given article in depth. Stansberry used to also have a choice to listen or read a transcript, so one can then scan to save time.
What many would-be citizen journalists seem to get is that 99% of us don't have unlimited time! Some suggestions for the few of you who read this:
a.) Recognize that the Fourth Estate, as Gramsci and the Frankfurt School wanted, and Soros and Schwab funded, is now part of a world-wide Goebbelian Der Sturmer fasco-Marxist propaganda arm. To riff off the disgusting Obama (think of his mansion - picture here - which could house 1,000 illegal immigrants at 79 Turkeyland Dr., Edgartown, MA. on all-white, illlegal immigrant free Martha’s Vineyard - and whose property address is literally 3 feet above sea level, as per WhatsMyElevation.com), "we are the media we have been waiting for." Fact is, that we, the people, must now be citizen journalists, and must now take on the mantle of the corrupt, co-opted media. Many of us get that, which is great, but do a horrible job.
b.) So, how do we do a good job? I don't always do this well myself, but some thoughts:
1.) In your emails, put in descriptive subjects in emails. Dozens of times a day I get "Wow!" or "Must read!" or "This is interesting." To be honest, those are insulting, and here's why: it now forces me to open it to see what it is about. How about a descriptive title so I can triage right at my inbox? Yet, three out of four never do that.
2.) If one must put a vid in, how about putting a precis of the video in, so again -out of courtesy to the reader and to help him with his invariably limited time - one can triage whether to listen or not. One individual sends me perhaps 10 hours of vides a day, very typically subject like "Wow!" and then just a video link, often to Youtube. No description in the subject, and no description of the video. (I have asked her FOUR times to do so, but she claims she is too busy. OK, well, so am I, so they are all now bulk deleted)
3) If there is a vid, put at least a description, and better, a summary in above the video link! Then, put the amount of time the vid is; even better, put a "start at 29 min mark" or similar to help the listener skim through extraneous information. The key, again, is simple: The reader is ovewhelmed, pressed for time, and we MUST help them with that challenge.
Here’s what is behind the problem, to help you understand the challenge we all have When we compose an email, we are inside our own heads, and we project that onto others. We have just made time to compose something, so we mistakenly assume the reader will have the same time. They 99% of the time do NOT.
And be careful of somthing called deixis. Yes, it is a 50 cent word, but one that I did a graduate paper on. What is this? Simple: the of general words and phrases to refer to a specific time, place, or person in context. And yes, per my paper, women are more apt to be guilty of this; e.g., my wife will often say something like “that person we talked to the other day”; to which I am forced to reply “I have no idea who or what you are talking about.” The answer is simple: proper nouns. (And in defense of my wife, this is actually a complement to me, and she subconsciously thinks I am inside her head, and know what she is thinking).
So, one "answer" is that we need to become the Fourth Estate; and if so, we have to be intelligent about it by helping the reader who is already overwhelmed with information, doesn't have the time, has a job, has issues about money being stolen by the banksters, a marriage to worry about, kids to worry about, aging parents to worry about, getting fired for not calling that 6'8” person with a beard “ma’am”.. and maybe indigestion, a hemorroid and bad breath to worry about.
Until we get a clue about how to replace the co-opted, corrupt, and now downright evil Fourth Estate (gee, are you listening, CNN? No? Didn't think so) we will continue to do OK thanks to people like Tucker Carlson, Greg Gutfield, Dr Mercola, etc.) but not make the major inroads into the general populace... which is exactly why multi-level marketing has had the success it has, despite it being heavily disrespected.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. concluded recently:
“33% will not obey. YOU are the 33%. Our job is to go out from here today and reach out to our brothers and sisters - the 67% who are still hypnotised - and we have to tell them that we are going to fight for their freedom, until they are able to fight for themselves... tell them: 'you need to love your freedom more than you are scared of a germ.'.
This year we saw the destruction of the American Constitution. That Constitution was written by a group of people who understood that there are worse things than dying... And now it is our job to go out and fight back to Resist! Resist! Resist! Resist and to reclaim our government, our lives, our liberty, for our children, for our Country and for all future generations.
And I can tell you this: I will stand side-by-side with you and that if I am going to die for this, I’m going to die with my boots on.”.
Yes, quod erat demonstrandum, eh! "Really, no time" that you write is precisely my point. And precisely why we are losing.
To win, we need to deal with this; until people help the overwhelmed reader, we will lose. Even the lamestream media knows this, which is why they do the repetition thing, and from various modalities, like music, comedy, news, etc.
Would you be surprised if I agreed? Vids? I rarely watch them, really no time. Yes I get those Wow! or Breaking News and its really boring yesterday's news. I understand people are swept away thinking 'this is the big story of the year.'
